PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
As part of the Field Services Team for Aqualogic, you will begin your journey as a Smart Meter Technician gaining an understanding of the clean water supply, which is fundamental to human health. Water scarcity, caused by population growth and climate change, has meant that there is significant opportunity to progress within the Water Sector.
Aqualogic have opportunities available for candidates to join our thriving field services team, delivering key water demand related services to our Utility Customers, as well as a range of private and public-sector customers in across the United Kingdom, with the current focus within the Southern/Western England regions. Candidates must possess a driving license & be willing to work across region.
The successful candidates will be required to undertake Smart Meter installations (AMR/AMI) and Field Projects. The Smart Meter rollout is part of a broader program to upgrade water meters and improve efficiency, where the smart meters will help track and reduce water usage, identify leaks more quickly, and improve overall water management.
MAIN DUTIES
- Installation of Smart Metering devices – meter exchanges and retro fit
- Supporting the team on a variety of different projects and initiatives.
- Undertaking water network surveys and installations.
- Responsibility for the successful delivery of small projects and packages of work.
- Professionally represent Aqualogic both internally and externally.
- Working independently as a single person unit within urban/suburban environments
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Organised, logical, and with the ability to work accurately whilst maintaining both Aqualogics high quality standards and customer care focus.
- Good time keeping, reliable and hard working
- Experience of Smart Meter installation and commissioning preferred.
- Some knowledge of water distributions systems and metering desirable
- The ability to prioritise tasks and manage their workload effectively
- Good ‘Digital Literacy’ especially the use of Microsoft packages (Microsoft Excel)
- A strong team player, who places emphasis on collaborative working and knowledge sharing
- Self-motivated individual with an eye for detail and a focus on customer service.
- Be able to work outdoors in all conditions
